Vogue Magazine

1. How does the design that you created demonstrate your knowledge of Magazine Design and the parts of a magazine cover and interior?

-- The design that I created demonstrates my knowledge by incorporating the techniques learned in class. I used my creativity and references to use to tools on adobe to create subtitles, headlines, image captions, byline etc)

2. In what ways does your magazine connect to the corporate identity of the magazine? What are some design queues that you used from the existing magazine?

-- My design keeps the idea of the identity of a more sophisticated, plain look. I incorporated the same fonts, similar color themes and layouts that the corporation used.

3. How did you like working with a partner? How do you think working with a partner makes the design process easier and more difficult?

-- I enjoyed working with a partner, it was nice to have a second set of eyes. It makes working easier by being able to come up with a bigger variety of ideas and being able to make sure to thoroughly make the right choice. It could be harder with the possibility of completely different views and clashing ideas.

4. Looking at your partner’s design, if you were to design your partner’s portion by yourself how would it look different?

-- It could be different in the sense that I would add more little designs to reduce the some white, but overall it would be very similar.

5. Describe the ideal partner (co-worker / co –designer)?

-- An ideal co-worker would be willing to hear all ideas and not shoot anything down, be honest but nice, and have the ability to pitch in good ideas.
